" Molly"
Molly, the pitt bull mix came to the shelter from an unfortunate situation. She was found with her foot in a trap somewhere on the Tug Hill Plateau. She was rescued and spent 2 months under the excellent care of Countryside Vet Clinic.
After healing she was returned to the shelter, but because she was not a "pretty girl' and had a mangled foot, she waited for 6 more months to be adopted... She is now the center of attention in her new home where she enjoys daily exercise, chew toys and a soft bed. She is a very loving dog. Her new family wouldn't trade her for the world!
"Katy and Grace"
Katy and Grace are 2 purebred beagle sisters who have found a home through the shelter. Both are lively girls who love attention and spending time in the woods with their new owner. Their new owner says they are so lively they "bounce" with joy! They love to sit on his lap whenever they can, often at the same time!
I ended up with Alexis (center pitt on couch). I was afraid of her breed but she is very gentle. As you can see from pic, She is great with everyone and they are all very spoiled. I am glad that the shelter is changed now and I think the animals are all well taken care of. I just thought I would share the pic of Alexis chillin on the couch (poor dog) with a couple of her new family members
There are many more animal like these out there. Won't you please consider visiting our shelter to find your new forever friend?....We'd love to hear other SUCCESS stories for adoptions from our shelter... If you would like to be included please email your pet's story to: warmhearts@lewiscountyhumanesociety.org
